What are you FOCUSing on?

What You Look For, You Will Find

Coaching tip: What you look for, you will find. What you focus on begins to shape how you see your life.

So pause for a minute and ask yourself:

What am I looking for in my daily life?

Am I looking for the bad news?
The disappointment?
The hopelessness?
The proof life is hard?

When you go looking for those things, your mind will find them.

But the opposite is also true.

Look for love.
Look for joy.
Look for hope.
Look for tiny signs of good.

Over time, you begin to see them more often.

Recently, I was working with a client who was in a hard place. I asked her to write down three things each day bringing her joy. She struggled with it. Joy felt too far away.

So we shifted the words.

Instead of asking for three joyful things, I asked her to write down three things each day that did not suck right now.

Success.

Sometimes joy feels too big when life feels heavy. Sometimes gratitude feels too polished. Sometimes we need words honest enough to meet us where we are.

Maybe your list is called:

A gratitude list.
A joy list.
A tiny wins list.
A “things that don’t suck” list.
A “noticing the good” list.

The title does not matter as much as the practice.

The goal is to help your mind begin looking for good again.

A decent cup of coffee.
A kind text.
A quiet minute.
A laugh.
A song.
A moment of peace.
A task completed.
A breath taken.

You do not have to pretend everything is wonderful. You only need to practice noticing what is still good, even in the middle of what feels hard.

What you look for, you will find.

Let me help you focus your vision on the life you want to build.
