Let Your Faith flag fly

Coaching Tip

Daily Habits for a Hard Season

This last month has felt like a ride.

I have felt waves of fear, comfort, chaos, peace, sadness, hope, and uncertainty. They keep rolling in. Some days I feel steady. Other days I feel like I am trying to catch my breath.

I am doing my best to ride the waves with my faith flag flying high.

I heard someone say, “This is a marathon, not a sprint.”

I keep coming back to those words.

When life feels uncertain, we need daily habits to help sustain us. Not huge changes. Not perfect routines. Small, steady practices help us move through hard seasons with more peace, purpose, and hope.

Here are a few daily habits to help you keep going.

Connect

Think of one person you want to check in with today. Send a text. Make a call. FaceTime someone you love. Connection fills our cups and reminds us we are not alone.

Care

Choose one small way to care for yourself. Take a warm shower. Light a candle. Make tea. Rest. Step outside. Give yourself permission to breathe.

Create

Spend a few minutes making something or organizing something. Doodle. Write. Work on photos. Arrange a drawer. Make your space feel lighter. Creativity helps move stuck energy.

Control

Pay attention to what you are letting into your mind. Turn off the news for a while. Put your phone down. Step away from the noise. You get to protect your peace.

Cook

Make something simple and nourishing. Try a new recipe. Support a local restaurant. Cut up fruits and veggies. Bake cookies. Food brings comfort, routine, and care into the day.

Clean

Choose one small area to tidy. Wipe a counter. Sweep the floor. Clear a table. Declutter one drawer. A calmer space often helps create a calmer mind.

Coach

Check in with someone who helps you sort through your thoughts. A life coach, counselor, trusted friend, or mentor. You do not have to untangle everything alone.

Hard seasons ask us to move one day at a time.

Some days we run.
Some days we walk.
Some days we crawl.

We keep going.

Lock arms with the people you love, even from a distance. Let your faith be bigger than your fear. Fly your flag high and ride the waves of uncertainty with hope.

You are not alone.

You are stronger than you feel.

We will make it through.
