Don't Break The Chain - Creating Habits -Part One

Start With One Small Habit

Have you been wanting to start a healthy habit?

Something good for your body.
Something good for your mind.
Something different from your usual routine.

Maybe you are ready to start walking, working out, eating with more intention, meditating, journaling, or drinking more water.

Starting a new habit takes effort. Keeping it going takes practice.

One simple tool I love is a habit tracker.

Each day you complete your habit, you add a checkmark. Over time, those checkmarks begin to form a chain. Once you see the chain growing, you feel more motivated to keep going.

James Clear talks about this idea in Atomic Habits. He shares how Jerry Seinfeld used a similar system when he was working to become a better comedian. Each day he wrote a joke, he marked it on his calendar.

After a while, the goal became simple.

Do not break the chain.

A habit tracker gives you a small visual reminder of your progress. One checkmark becomes one small win. Small wins help build momentum.

What habit would you like to start?
