Week 11 ~ Random Acts of Kindness

The idea of this challenge is for you to learn many ways to help you deal with everyday stress. So far I have challenged you with 10 different things to do to help shift you from a place of stress to a place of peace. This week your challenge will hopefully do the same. This week your challenge is plain and simple. Do something kind for someone EVERY day!I don't think the challenge is the do something kind part, but perhaps it IS a challenge to do it daily. One of the easiest ways I find that I can shift my mood is by doing something nice for others. The other day while on a quick run to the grocery store, I was in the express check out lane. I was thinking about all the things I needed to take care of when I noticed the woman in front of me was fumbling through her purse. She realized she did not have enough money for her generic 4 pack of toilet paper and a pack of generic tampons. She told the woman to put them back. I immediately left all of my troubles behind me and told the cashier to put them back in her bag and I would pay. The customer was so grateful. I told her, "we all need to look out for each other." and winked. We both left that store with big smiles.I felt so good to be able to something for a stranger. It made me sad to think of her not having enough money for some basic essentials. When I got to the car, my son asked me about the situation. I told him that whenever we can, we must help others. It feels good. I felt blessed. So take that story with you this week and look for all the opportunities where you can share random acts of kindness. I would love to have you share some stories with us.Be blessed and bless others!
